“She looked outside and saw a car in her front lawn where a coconut palm once stood, and that her maroon Mazda truck had been slammed into the mailbox, only feet from her front door — the result of a deadly robbery getaway that left a security company employee dead and another critically injured.

“I just thank God I was not outside in my garden,” Bodden said Monday. “I was supposed to be out there, but I wanted to watch the movie.”

Three other parked cars in her driveway were also smashed. Broken glass littered her driveway.

On Monday, North Miami Beach police charged Exzavier D. Robinson, 27, with murder after police said the car he was driving slammed into a security company car at Northeast 179th Street and 15th Avenue — killing Emily Anderson, 40, and critically injuring Charles Edward Hall, 35, of North Miami, an employee of Bryant Security. Hall was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Police say Robinson and an unidentified woman — who is still on the run — had just robbed the Macy’s store at the Aventura Mall and taken off speeding toward North Miami Beach about 8 p.m. Sunday.

Robinson was driving a silver Chrysler 300 west on Northeast 179th street when it collided with a Bryant Security car, sending both vehicles onto the front lawn of Bodden’s home at the corner of 15th Avenue, police said.”
